A Tuna Christmas is a two-man show and the second of four Tuna plays written by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears, and Ed Howard.  Set in the fictional town of Tuna, Texas, the Sul Ross production features Jason Roman and Avery Callaway as the two, very busy lead actors who perform more than 20 characters between them.  An already-funny, Christmas-themed script is made even more hilarious by the contrast between unchanging cast and constantly changing personas and costumes.  The resulting frenetic pace of character change perfectly mirrors the small-town eccentricities of Tuna and results in a seamless stream of family-friendly laughs.

The Sul Ross Theater Program will present three more performances of A Tuna Christmas on Friday Nov. 30 (8 p.m.), Saturday Dec. 1 (8 p.m.), and Sunday Dec. 2 (2 p.m.)  All performances are given in the Francois Fine Art Building’s Studio Theatre (FAB 103) with ticket prices set at ten dollars for adults and eight dollars for youths (Sul Ross students, faculty, and staff get in for free with their University ID).  A concession stand selling snacks and drinks will also be available.
